About the 2024 How Do You Reduce Waste Calendar Contest
In October, the WV DEP Youth Environmental Program's JoAnn Snoderly, gave the How Do You Reduce Waste? lesson to some of the 4th - 8th graders at Eastwood Elementary School, Mountaineer Middle School and Suncrest Middle School. To participate, teachers registered for the 2023 Student Lesson Opportunity (click the link to read more).

There were 175 pieces of student artwork submitted for entry into the 2024 Monongalia County Solid Waste Authority Calendar Contest.

The winners of the Monongalia County Solid Waste Authority's Calendar Contest were selected by the Board of Directors, and Administrator, at the October Board meeting.
Eight students' artwork were selected to be published in the MCSWA 2024 How Do You Reduce Waste? 12-Month Calendar. One student's artwork was also selected for the front cover.
